Android 14 has been tested by Google since February, and now it’s ready for Pixel users to use. To get it, you need a Pixel 4a 5G or a newer Pixel phone. Other phone companies like Samsung, iQOO, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, and Xiaomi will also update their phones with Android 14 in the next few months.
Google has added new ways to customize your phone. You can now choose wallpapers made by a smart computer program on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can also change how your lock screen looks by picking different fonts, colors, and shortcuts for things like the QR reader or Google Home app. Google even made it easier to pick a style for your home screen, and it can change based on the weather.
Android 14 makes your photos look better with something called Ultra HDR. It also helps you hear things better with special sound and music features. It keeps your health data safe on your phone and tells you when apps want to know your location. You can say no if you don’t want to share.
Android 14 is better at keeping your phone safe. You can use your fingerprint to unlock other apps, and there’s a new way to lock your phone with a 6-digit PIN. If you need help seeing things on your phone, you can zoom in more easily and change the size of the words. If you use hearing aids, there are new settings to help you. You can also change the size of the words on your phone quickly. And you can send sound to different places.
