Tesla has introduced a new safety feature for all its electric cars. This new technology makes it easier for people to notice the car if it’s been in a crash. It’s available in Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X cars made after 2020. Tesla has already started sending out updates for this feature over the internet.
With this update, if a Tesla car has a crash and the airbags come out, the car’s hazard lights will start flashing really quickly. Tesla talked about this on social media. They said that when a crash happens, the hazard lights will turn on automatically and flash faster than usual. This should help others see the damaged car, especially at night. The car’s turn signals will flash like a strobe light, which is similar to what you see on big machines.
But Tesla isn’t the first company to use this technology. Other carmakers like Volvo, BMW, and Volkswagen have had this safety feature in their cars since the 2000s.
This is the latest update from Tesla for their cars. In July 2023, Tesla sent out another update that lets drivers control the speed of their windshield wipers from the steering wheel, without needing to turn on the wipers first. Tesla has added other features and technologies to their cars through software updates in the past, like improving the regenerative braking system when using the Autopilot driving assistance and adding a special mode for track driving.
